Webmaster

Hi!  I'm Teresa Capacia-Zenimura.  That's me above, second from the left, on our graduation day.
I'm sure there are corrections and additions to be made so just let me know!
(Btw, that Nilda Limpin on the left, me, Susan Cabanayan-Gutlove and Nimfa Caimol-Factor).

The blog was created to relay information for the June 25, 2011 reunion in Las Vegas.
It will stay up indefinitely and you will always have access to it.

True, there's FaceBook and lots of social media sites.  This blog is just another option.
Different strokes for different folks.
My own Facebook account is deactivated because I had problems with lurkers.  Eww.

As I get older, the relationships I have become more precious.
Like a book, I hope I'm getting to more interesting chapters of my life.  Ha!

Truly, we don't need more to be thankful for.
Rather, to be thankful more.

So, I'm thankful for the blessings of friendship we shared in high school.
The years I spent in the Philippines from 1973 to 1979 truly shaped the woman I am.
Before then, I couldn't find the Philippines on a map!
In Baguio, I learned about being a Filipina and embracing my culture and heritage.
Born in America but I wear my Filipina badge (and flat tanned nose) with pride.

On my first day of school at Holy Family (second year), I was assigned to Belinda Ty.
I kept pronouncing her last name as "tie" instead of "tee." She would just roll her eyes.
Efficiently, that small, short spectacled-girl whipped me into shape and lined me up!

In fact, many of you taught me to tow the line---stand up when you speak in class,
be quiet during mass or Sister Hosanna will get mad, don't wear short skirts,
no make-up in class, move the hair out off your face ... yada yada yada!
So, perhaps a virtue of friendship is helping one another become better people.
Thank you for helping me.

In 35 years, we've moved to different cities and parts of the globe.
Lots of living and life have created the wrinkles and lines of experience on our faces.
Distance and time matter little, but Holy Family still holds a special place for all of us.

Be well, my friends.

xoxo,

Teresa
